With more than 50% of its exports coming from the product, the State stands out nationally with tons and tons of exported ore. The main ore outlet is the Tubar\u00e3o Port Complex, located in Vit\u00f3ria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Capital of the state, Vit\u00f3ria is only the fourth most populous city in the state, after Cariacica, Serra and Vila Velha. With just over 360,000 inhabitants in the municipality itself, the region called \u201cGrande Vit\u00f3ria\u201d has about 2 million people. In 1962, the until then Companhia Vale do Rio Doce began its construction. At the time, it was designed to receive ships of sizes that did not even exist in the 1960s.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As it is located in a strategic outlet, the Tubar\u00e3o Port Complex is located in the richest region of the country (Southeast). When it was designed by Eliezer Batista, a former engineer and president of Vale, he may not have expected the site to become such a large operational area. Combining <a href=\"https:\/\/massa.ind.br\/en\/malha-ferroviaria-japao\/\">railroad<\/a>, pelletizing and port, the site is responsible for approximately one third of Vale's iron ore exports. That is, a considerable amount.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, the area is 14 square kilometers. In addition to the port, the complex has eight pellet plants (which transform iron ore into small pellets used in the manufacture of steel) and the Operational Control Center (OCC) of the Vit\u00f3ria-Minas railroad. That is, the Tubar\u00e3o Port Complex is quite complete.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As it was successful and widely visible, its construction attracted many foreign companies to Brazil. In this way, the complex became fundamental to the region's economy. Currently, just to give you an idea, there are 64 thousand direct and indirect jobs generated by the complex.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, in addition to standing out in the transport of iron ore, the Port of Tubar\u00e3o is also an important channel for the flow of grain, coal and fertilizers. Back then, its main objective was to connect the state of <a href=\"https:\/\/massa.ind.br\/en\/estacoes-ferroviarias-de-minas-gerais\/\">Minas Gerais<\/a> to the ocean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, as Minas Gerais does not have a coastal coast, making this flow would be much easier through rail transport. With the works going on for a long time, the railroad only reached the capital of Minas Gerais in 1994, but it has always been very important not only in the flow of ore, but in the transport of steel, coal, cellulose, containers, agricultural products, wood, etc.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leaving Minas Gerais and going to the Tubar\u00e3o Port Complex, Vale S.A got the railroad concession in 1997. In recent years, the company has been investing in many improvements to the complex. In 2021, for example, the site received the world's first ore carrier with rotating sails, responsible for the Brazil-China and Brazil-Asia routes. That said, the company should invest around R$1 billion in a new stretch of the railroad, which will pass through 10 cities in Esp\u00edrito Santo and end in Anchieta, in the south of the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to further expanding the region's exports, the project should create around 5,000 jobs for the region's population. Not to mention that, with a larger rail network in the region, the trend is that the competitiveness of transport in the region will increase and there will be better logistical integration. All this leading to the Tubar\u00e3o Port Complex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is worth remembering that there is a project for the railroad to arrive in the future <a href=\"https:\/\/massa.ind.br\/en\/principais-portos-do-mundo\/\">Porto<\/a> Central, in Presidente Kennedy. For those who don't know the city, Presidente Kennedy is almost on the border between the states of Rio de Janeiro and Esp\u00edrito Santo. That is, it would be an important link with the state of Fluminense. However, this section still does not have a defined basic engineering project.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before that, it is important to remember that the concession of the Vit\u00f3ria-Minas railroad with Vale S.A will only run until the end of 2026, that is, it will need to be renewed. On the stretch that goes from the Vit\u00f3ria-Minas Railroad to Anchieta, Vale is just waiting for the authorization of the <a href=\"https:\/\/massa.ind.br\/en\/primeira-ferrovia-do-brasil\/\">National Land Transport Agency<\/a> (ANTT) to start the works. These are expected to begin by 2024 and last four to five years.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is worth remembering that, as it is located in Esp\u00edrito Santo, Vale has some attractions in the state, such as the Vale Museum, the Vale Botanical Park, the Vale Natural Reserve, the Passenger Train and the Knowledge Station in the Serra. All this to enrich the state culturally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Conclusion: Tubar\u00e3o Port Complex<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In this way, we were able to perceive the importance of the Tubar\u00e3o Port Complex not only for the state's economy, but also for the whole of Brazil. The Complex alone is responsible for about 13% of the state's GDP (Gross Domestic Product).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, as it is on a route widely used throughout Brazil's history, the cultural wealth of the Vit\u00f3ria-Minas railroad, for example, is part of the national heritage. Contaremos um pouco mais sobre a rica hist\u00f3ria do local, que tem mais de 50 anos de hist\u00f3ria, al\u00e9m de contar quais ferrovias possuem liga\u00e7\u00e3o com o complexo.&nbsp; Hist\u00f3ria do Complexo Portu\u00e1rio de Tubar\u00e3o&nbsp; Inaugurado em 1966, o Complexo Portu\u00e1rio de Tubar\u00e3o foi um dos complexos portu\u00e1rios mais modernos na \u00e9poca em que foi constru\u00eddo. Em 1962, a at\u00e9 ent\u00e3o Companhia Vale do Rio Doce iniciou a sua constru\u00e7\u00e3o. Na \u00e9poca, ele foi projetado para receber navios de tamanhos que nem existiam na d\u00e9cada de 60.&nbsp; Como fica localizado em um local de escoamento estrat\u00e9gico, o Complexo Portu\u00e1rio de Tubar\u00e3o est\u00e1 na regi\u00e3o mais rica do pa\u00eds (Sudeste). Quando foi projetado por Eliezer Batista, antigo engenheiro e presidente da Vale, talvez n\u00e3o esperasse que o local se tornasse uma \u00e1rea operacional t\u00e3o grande. Unindo ferrovia, pelotiza\u00e7\u00e3o e porto, o local \u00e9 respons\u00e1vel por aproximadamente um ter\u00e7o da exporta\u00e7\u00e3o de min\u00e9rio de ferro da Vale. Isto \u00e9, uma quantia consider\u00e1vel.&nbsp; Nos dias atuais, a \u00e1rea possui 14 quil\u00f4metros quadrados. Al\u00e9m do porto, o complexo conta com oito usinas de pelotiza\u00e7\u00e3o (que transformam o min\u00e9rio de ferro em pequenas bolinhas usadas na fabrica\u00e7\u00e3o do a\u00e7o) e com o Centro de Controle Operacional (CCO) da ferrovia Vit\u00f3ria-Minas. Isto \u00e9, o Complexo Portu\u00e1rio de Tubar\u00e3o \u00e9 bastante completo.&nbsp; Como obteve sucesso e ampla visibilidade, sua constru\u00e7\u00e3o atraiu muitas empresas estrangeiras para o Brasil. Dessa forma, o complexo se tornou fundamental para a economia da regi\u00e3o. Atualmente, s\u00f3 para se ter uma ideia, s\u00e3o 64 mil empregos diretos e indiretos gerados pelo complexo.&nbsp; Por fim, al\u00e9m de se destacar no transporte de min\u00e9rio de ferro, o Porto de Tubar\u00e3o tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 um importante canal de escoamento de gr\u00e3os, carv\u00e3o e fertilizantes. At\u00e9 por isso, existe uma ferrovia interligada no complexo.&nbsp; Ferrovia Vit\u00f3ria-Minas A Estrada de Ferro Vit\u00f3ria-Minas (EFVM) teve sua constru\u00e7\u00e3o iniciada em 1904. L\u00e1 atr\u00e1s, seu principal objetivo j\u00e1 era ligar o estado de Minas Gerais ao oceano. Entretanto, como Minas Gerais n\u00e3o conta com costa litor\u00e2nea, fazer esse escoamento seria muito mais f\u00e1cil atrav\u00e9s do transporte ferrovi\u00e1rio. Com as obras se estendendo por um bom tempo, a ferrovia s\u00f3 alcan\u00e7ou a capital mineira em 1994, mas sempre foi important\u00edssima n\u00e3o s\u00f3 no escoamento de min\u00e9rio, mas no transporte de a\u00e7o, carv\u00e3o, celulose, cont\u00eaineres, produtos agr\u00edcolas, madeira, etc.&nbsp; Saindo de Minas Gerais e indo at\u00e9 o Complexo Portu\u00e1rio de Tubar\u00e3o, a Vale S.A conseguiu a concess\u00e3o da ferrovia em 1997. Nos \u00faltimos anos, a empresa vem investindo em muitas melhorias no complexo. Em 2021, por exemplo, o local recebeu o primeiro navio navio mineraleiro do mundo com velas rotativas, respons\u00e1vel pelas rotas Brasil-China e Brasil-\u00c1sia. At\u00e9 2025, a expectativa \u00e9 que a Vale S.A invista R$2,4 bilh\u00f5es apenas na \u00e1rea portu\u00e1ria. Trechos entre Vit\u00f3ria-Rio \u00c9 interessante ressaltarmos tamb\u00e9m que, desde que passou a ser administrada pela Vale S.A a ferrovia Vit\u00f3ria-Minas recebeu algumas melhorias. Dito isso, a empresa deve realizar um investimento de cerca de R$1 bilh\u00e3o em um novo trecho da ferrovia, que passar\u00e1 por 10 cidades capixabas e desembocar\u00e1 em Anchieta, no sul do estado. Al\u00e9m de ampliar ainda mais a exporta\u00e7\u00e3o da regi\u00e3o, o projeto deve criar cerca de 5 mil empregos para a popula\u00e7\u00e3o da regi\u00e3o. Isso sem falar que, com uma malha ferrovi\u00e1ria maior na regi\u00e3o, a tend\u00eancia \u00e9 que a competitividade do transporte na regi\u00e3o aumente e haja melhor integra\u00e7\u00e3o log\u00edstica. Tudo isso desembocando no Complexo Portu\u00e1rio de Tubar\u00e3o. Vale lembrar que existe o projeto para que a ferrovia chegue no futuro Porto Central, em Presidente Kennedy.&nbsp; Para quem n\u00e3o conhece a cidade, Presidente Kennedy fica quase na divisa entre os estados do Rio de Janeiro e do Esp\u00edrito Santo. Isto \u00e9, seria uma importante liga\u00e7\u00e3o com o estado Fluminense. Entretanto, esse trecho ainda n\u00e3o tem nem projeto b\u00e1sico de engenharia definido.&nbsp; Antes disso, \u00e9 importante lembrarmos que a concess\u00e3o da ferrovia Vit\u00f3ria-Minas com o Vale S.A vai somente at\u00e9 o final de 2026, ou seja, precisar\u00e1 ser renovada. J\u00e1 no trecho que vai da estrada de Ferro Vit\u00f3ria-Minas at\u00e9 Anchieta, a Vale s\u00f3 est\u00e1 aguardando a libera\u00e7\u00e3o da Ag\u00eancia Nacional de Transportes Terrestres (ANTT) para iniciar as obras. A expectativa \u00e9 que estas comecem at\u00e9 2024 e durem de quatro a cinco anos.&nbsp; Vale lembrar que, por estar inserida no Esp\u00edrito Santo, a Vale possui algumas atra\u00e7\u00f5es no estado, como o Museu Vale, o Parque Bot\u00e2nico Vale, a Reserva Natural Vale, o Trem de Passageiros e a Esta\u00e7\u00e3o Conhecimento na Serra. Tudo isso para enriquecer o estado culturalmente. Conclus\u00e3o: Complexo Portu\u00e1rio de Tubar\u00e3o Dessa forma, conseguimos perceber a import\u00e2ncia do Complexo Portu\u00e1rio de Tubar\u00e3o n\u00e3o s\u00f3 para a economia do estado, mas tamb\u00e9m para todo o Brasil. Somente o Complexo \u00e9 respons\u00e1vel por cerca de 13% do PIB (Produto Interno Bruto) do estado.&nbsp; Al\u00e9m disso, como est\u00e1 em uma rota muito utilizada ao longo de toda a hist\u00f3ria do Brasil, a riqueza cultural da ferrovia Vit\u00f3ria-Minas, por exemplo, faz parte do patrim\u00f4nio nacional.
