Processes and services in general are improved with the implementation of technologies, and the question that remains in the air and is widely discussed in Brazil is: High-speed train in Brazil: reality or future?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Well, we know that today's society demands speed and solidity in services provided by all segments, whether in production, trade or transport of cargo and people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The population increasingly buys private vehicles to make it easier to travel through cities, reducing travel time.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the absence of its own vehicle, transport services, such as trains, are the most viable solution, and it is normal for the population to clamor for faster, safer and more efficient vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this sense, will we soon see the implementation of a high-speed train in Brazil, as it already exists in various parts of the <a href=\"https:\/\/massa.ind.br\/en\/maiores-ferrovias-do-mundo\/\">world<\/a>, or is this project just a projection for the future? In the projection of implementing a high-speed train in Brazil, the novelty and difference is that the tracks will be continuous and straight, without this variation that causes speed to be reduced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the TAVS tracks do not have seams, which are important parts for the composition of the tracks of current trains, which are parts that hinder the continuous flow of trains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The system for trains to reach such speed, which are similar to those used by different countries in the world, is based on the use of a system with steel wheels and rails, powered by electricity. However, this is just one of the system options, and there is no guarantee that it will be chosen for the high-speed train in Brazil.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, MagLev technology is also an option. This system makes the trains \u201clevitate\u201d through the use of magnets, preventing the trains from coming into contact with the rails. Projects that are created turn and move suffer from stoppages due to costs or government wishes, which change every 4 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project to implement the high-speed train in Brazil has a high cost of investment, being the most expensive project of <a href=\"http:\/\/pac.gov.br\/\">the Brazilian government's Growth Acceleration Program (PAC).<\/a> .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The high-speed train project in Brazil began to be thought of during the Lula government, in 2004, but still very timidly.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2009, discussions intensified and the first project, between Campinas and Rio, passing through <a href=\"https:\/\/massa.ind.br\/en\/ferrovias-do-estado-de-sao-paulo\/\">S\u00e3o Paulo<\/a>, began to take shape. At that time, the idea was for the project to be ready to host the World Cup in Brazil in 2014.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2012, the National Land Transport Agency (ANTT) estimated that one of the projects, the TAV between Campinas and Rio, with a stop in S\u00e3o Paulo, would already be in operation by June 30, 2020, being the deadline for planning the government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The big problem for the implementation of the project was precisely the costs. With the dollar hitting a record and the major crises faced by the government resulting from the Coronavirus pandemic in 2020 and 2021, this idea does not present itself as very viable nowadays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order for it to be implemented, it is necessary that new investment wheels, essentially from the private sector, take shape. the challenges encountered so far, because it has not yet been implemented and news in new rounds of investments, possible companies that would take over the works and new dates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For a long time, the idea ceased to be a full priority and ran out of steam. However, in 2019, a possibility of investment coming from China helped the project to be remembered by the current government. However, the project was not taken forward due to lack of partnerships and incentives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thus, the<a href=\"https:\/\/massa.ind.br\/en\/transporte-de-cargas-no-brasil\/\"> future<\/a> of high-speed trains in Brazil remains unknown. During the Bolsonaro government, infrastructure minister Tarc\u00edsio Gomes de Freitas has already stated that the progress of the project depends solely and exclusively on a financial contribution coming from the private sector and that the government will not treat this project as a priority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With that, we can still see this debate resurface in the coming years and decades. Without knowing how Brazil will adapt financially to continue this plan, it is not possible to say how long the projects will be completed and if so.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Planned Lines<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, it is worth highlighting some important points of high-speed train projects in Brazil. This service, planned since 2009 by the Federal Government, assigned to the EPL (Planning and Logistics Company), had the idea of assembling 4 main lines of high-speed trains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All high-speed lines would have the function of connecting nearby and important cities in different Brazilian states. The 4 projects are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>TAV Rio-S\u00e3o Paulo;<\/li><li>TAV Bras\u00edlia-Goi\u00e2nia;<\/li><li>TAV <a href=\"https:\/\/massa.ind.br\/en\/ferrovias-de-minas-gerais\/\">Belo Horizonte<\/a>-Curitiba;<\/li><li>TAV Campinas-Tri\u00e2ngulo Mineiro.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Each of the high-speed trains in Brazil would connect these cities, and would pass through other municipalities. On the Rio-S\u00e3o Paulo route, for example, the final destination would be the city of Campinas, just passing through the capital of S\u00e3o Paulo, having about 998.1 km in length.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All projects are at a standstill and with no forecast for continuity. In the meantime, it is important to follow up on the next resolutions from governmental instances, especially from the Ministry of Infrastructure of the Country, to find out if the lines will actually be built or not.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Conclusion<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As we have seen, the project to implement high-speed trains in Brazil still suffers from problems. Nesse sentido, ser\u00e1 que veremos em pouco tempo a implementa\u00e7\u00e3o de trem de alta velocidade no Brasil, como j\u00e1 existe em diversas partes do mundo, ou esse projeto \u00e9 apenas uma proje\u00e7\u00e3o para o futuro? Bom, \u00e9 isso que veremos no artigo a seguir.&nbsp; O que \u00e9 o trem de alta velocidade? Para contextualizar, \u00e9 importante explicar sobre o que se trata o Trem de Alta Velocidade, tamb\u00e9m conhecido pela sigla TAV, e como ele funciona. Como o pr\u00f3prio nome j\u00e1 indica, um TAV \u00e9 um modelo de trem que busca ter uma velocidade muito maior do que os modelos de trens que estamos acostumados a acompanhar no nosso dia a dia e tamb\u00e9m nas malhas ferrovi\u00e1rias de cargas do pa\u00eds. Essa alta velocidade \u00e9 alcan\u00e7ada por uma s\u00e9rie de quest\u00f5es, como o pr\u00f3prio funcionamento do trem, a montagem dos trilhos e os sistemas que s\u00e3o utilizados para garantir maior efici\u00eancia e pot\u00eancia para os ve\u00edculos. Em rela\u00e7\u00e3o aos trilhos e a forma\u00e7\u00e3o das vias, que fazem toda diferen\u00e7a, os trens que conhecemos tem de enfrentar continuamente curvas abruptas e manobras, que fazem com que os trens tenham de diminuir sua velocidade. Na proje\u00e7\u00e3o de implementa\u00e7\u00e3o de trem de alta velocidade no brasil, a novidade e diferen\u00e7a \u00e9 que os trilhos ser\u00e3o cont\u00ednuos e retos, sem essa varia\u00e7\u00e3o que faz com que a velocidade seja diminu\u00edda. J\u00e1 em 2012, a Ag\u00eancia Nacional de Transportes Terrestres (ANTT) estimava que um dos projetos, o TAV entre Campinas e Rio, com parada em S\u00e3o Paulo, j\u00e1 estaria em opera\u00e7\u00e3o at\u00e9 30 de junho de 2020, sendo a data limite do planejamento do governo. O grande problema para a implementa\u00e7\u00e3o do projeto foi justamente os custos. Quando o projeto foi pensado em 2009, a estimativa \u00e9 que os custos totais fossem de 15 bilh\u00f5es de d\u00f3lares, representando mais de 75 bilh\u00f5es de reais na cota\u00e7\u00e3o atual. Com esse alto custo, alinhado \u00e0s recess\u00f5es e crises econ\u00f4micas constantes que o Brasil enfrenta, o projeto de trem de alta velocidade no Brasil deixou de ser prioridade e at\u00e9 hoje n\u00e3o saiu do papel. Perspectiva de implanta\u00e7\u00e3o do trem de alta velocidade no Brasil Os principais desafios enfrentados para a implementa\u00e7\u00e3o dos projetos de TAV no Brasil s\u00e3o justamente os custos e a falta de prioridade. Com o d\u00f3lar batendo recorde e as grandes crises enfrentadas pelo governo decorrente da pandemia do Coronav\u00edrus em 2020 e 2021, essa ideia n\u00e3o se apresenta como muito vi\u00e1vel nos dias atuais. Para que possa ser implementada, \u00e9 necess\u00e1rio que novas rodas de investimentos, essencialmente da iniciativa privada, ganhe corpo. os desafios encontrados at\u00e9 o momento, porque ainda n\u00e3o foi executado e novidades nas novas rodadas de investimentos, poss\u00edveis empresas que assumiriam as obras e novas datas. Durante muito tempo, a ideia deixou de ser totalmente priorit\u00e1ria e perdeu f\u00f4lego. Entretanto, em 2019, uma possibilidade de investimento vindos da China ajudou o projeto a ser relembrado pelo governo atual. Entretanto, o projeto n\u00e3o foi levado para frente por falta de concretiza\u00e7\u00e3o de parcerias e incentivos.
