Located in the south of the country, Paran\u00e1 is an important producer in Brazil and, for that, it needs that Paran\u00e1's railroads are in excellent conditions for the work of transporting this production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, as in every country, Paran\u00e1's railroads suffer from a long process of stagnation, which has lasted since the middle of the 20th century, when the government began to invest more heavily in the <a href=\"https:\/\/massa.ind.br\/en\/ferrrovia-ou-rodovia-qual-meio-de-transporte-e-melhor\/\">road sector,<\/a>leaving several railroads scrapped or abandoned.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the moment, there are 3 railroads that operate effectively in the state of Paran\u00e1, one of which is Ferroeste, with a main stretch that runs from Guarapuava to Cascavel. In addition to it and more importantly, Rumo Log\u00edstica connects the interior of Paran\u00e1 to Londrina, Maring\u00e1 Ponta Grossa to Curitiba and then to Paranagu\u00e1. Throughout the text, we will talk in more detail about the important work of these railroads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Companies operating on Paran\u00e1's railroads<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"620\" height=\"350\" src=\"https:\/\/massa.ind.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/image-8-1-1.png\" alt=\"Companies operating on Paran\u00e1&#039;s railroads\" class=\"wp-image-3064\" srcset=\"https:\/\/massa.ind.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/image-8-1-1.png 620w, https:\/\/massa.ind.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/image-8-1-1-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/massa.ind.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/image-8-1-1-500x282.png 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 620px) 100vw, 620px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Until the mid-90s, all railroads were managed by the federal government, which ended up making it difficult to increase investments, as the current governments prioritized the expansion of road networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of the decade, the National Privatization Plan, implemented during the Fernando Henrique Cardoso government, led the railroads to be managed by private companies, through concessions granted at auctions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this, the railroads started to have a new perspective, as it enabled the private sector to invest more in the sector. Thus, this was an important milestone for the railroad sector, including the Paran\u00e1 railroads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we mentioned earlier, there are some lines that pass through the state of Paran\u00e1, working for the flow of different items. The main lines, such as those mentioned above, are managed by mainly 2 companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ferroeste is a state-owned railroad line that bears the name of the company itself, and has been in operation since 1996. Its line connects the city of Cascavel to Guarapuava, interconnecting with the &amp; nbsp; Rumo, arriving at the Port of Paranagu\u00e1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In total, there are 426 wagons within 15 locomotives, working intensively for cargo handling in the state, being one of the main companies operating on Paran\u00e1's railroads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rumo, on the other hand, is the largest company in the railroad sector, with the largest railroad network in the country. Of the little more than 29 thousand km of railroad lines that Brazil has, more than 14 thousand km belong to RUMO, including the Paran\u00e1 railroads.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the state, Rumo operates the Curitiba Paranagu\u00e1 railroad and the stretches that cut Paran\u00e1 from the old ALL lines - &amp; nbsp; Am\u00e9rica Latina Log\u00edstica, currently fully incorporated by RUMO.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Goods<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"512\" height=\"341\" src=\"https:\/\/massa.ind.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/image-9-1-1.png\" alt=\"mercadorias\" class=\"wp-image-3061\" srcset=\"https:\/\/massa.ind.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/image-9-1-1.png 512w, https:\/\/massa.ind.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/image-9-1-1-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/massa.ind.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/image-9-1-1-500x333.png 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Paran\u00e1 is an important state for the country's economy, representing around 6.2% of the national Gross Domestic Product (GDP). In the Paran\u00e1 production division, we have:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Agriculture: 18.4%<\/li><li>Industry: 40%<\/li><li>Provision of services: 41.6%<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Annually, around US$ 10 billion are exported abroad. Much of this export is due to Paran\u00e1's railroads, which are important modes of transport for the goods produced and extracted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In relation to agriculture, which is a very important productive sector for the economy of the country and of Brazil in general, the state has been increasing its production and presenting very interesting numbers. In 2019, for example, production totaled more than US$ 97 billion, breaking a historic record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the main agricultural commodities worked, according to the Department of Rural Economy (DERAL), we have soybeans, chicken, corn, milk, pork, among others. Soy, for example, represents 20% of the share of local agriculture, with a productive value of almost R$ 20 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the importance of this production for the growth of the state, agriculture plays a fundamental role for the whole country. The soybean processed in Paran\u00e1, for example, represents 33% of all the soy produced nationally. Others that stand out are chicken meat, which represents 25% of all production, and pork, with 16%.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Investments in the Paran\u00e1 railroads<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"512\" height=\"339\" src=\"https:\/\/massa.ind.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/image-12-1-2.png\" alt=\"Investments in the Paran\u00e1 railroads\" class=\"wp-image-3060\" srcset=\"https:\/\/massa.ind.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/image-12-1-2.png 512w, https:\/\/massa.ind.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/image-12-1-2-300x199.png 300w, https:\/\/massa.ind.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/image-12-1-2-500x331.png 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>With the production of Paran\u00e1 growing, mainly agriculture, it is essential that there is enough transport demand to meet these needs. Precisely for this reason, there is a perspective of growth for the railroads of Paran\u00e1, both in improving the infrastructure of the existing lines, as well as in the emergence of new networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the production of Paran\u00e1 growing, mainly agriculture, it is essential that there is enough transport demand to meet these needs. Precisely for this reason, there is a perspective of growth for the railroads of Paran\u00e1, both in improving the infrastructure of the existing lines, as well as in the emergence of new networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the federal government is aware of these issues. That year, the government announced that it would seek to attract investments from the private sector to improve the quality of Brazilian railways by more than R $ 40 billion.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another important issue is the emergence of new railroad sections, which can bring new solutions for the flow of goods through the Paran\u00e1 railroads. Many of the commodities transported pass through the railroads, and it is essential that this sector be expanded to facilitate transport logistics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the moment, Brazil is still very dependent on highways, since more than 60% of all cargo transported goes through this mode of transport. While highways are essential, they also have logistical problems, which make operations expensive and disadvantageous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Highways, for example, suffer from a lack of infrastructure, unpaved lanes, a high number of tolls and very long routes. All of these factors, including in the state of Paran\u00e1, make logistical transportation difficult, costs become more expensive and the quality of travel is impaired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this, investing in railroads in Paran\u00e1 can be a very smart solution, bringing more diversity to the transportation of cargo and improving the logistics of this movement so important for the production of the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclusion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We can conclude with the article that Paran\u00e1 is a fundamental state for the country's economy, and it is important that it improves transport conditions to be in line with the level of production. Ao longo do texto, falaremos mais detalhadamente sobre o importante trabalho dessas ferrovias. Empresas atuantes nas ferrovias do Paran\u00e1 At\u00e9 a metade da d\u00e9cada de 90, todas as ferrovias eram administradas pelo governo federal, o que acabou dificultando o aumento de investimentos, pois os governos vigentes priorizaram a expans\u00e3o das malhas rodovi\u00e1rias. J\u00e1 no fim da d\u00e9cada, o Plano Nacional de Desestatiza\u00e7\u00f5es, implementado durante o governo Fernando Henrique Cardoso, fez com que as ferrovias passassem a ser administradas por empresas privadas, atrav\u00e9s de concess\u00f5es cedidas em leil\u00f5es.&nbsp; Com isso, as ferrovias passaram a ter uma nova perspectiva, pois possibilitou que a iniciativa privada investisse mais no setor. Dessa forma, esse foi um marco importante para o setor ferrovi\u00e1rio, incluindo as ferrovias do Paran\u00e1. Como mencionamos anteriormente, existem algumas linhas que passam pelo estado paranaense, trabalhando em pr\u00f3 do escoamento de diferentes itens. As linhas principais, como as que mencionamos, s\u00e3o administradas por, principalmente, 2 empresas. A Ferroeste \u00e9 uma linha ferrovi\u00e1ria estatal que leva o nome da pr\u00f3pria empresa, e est\u00e1 em opera\u00e7\u00e3o desde 1996. Sua linha liga a cidade de Cascavel a Guarapuava, fazendo interliga\u00e7\u00e3o com o trecho da&nbsp; Rumo, chegando at\u00e9 o Porto de Paranagu\u00e1. No total, s\u00e3o 426 vag\u00f5es dentro de 15 locomotivas, atuando intensamente para o trabalho de escoamento de cargas no estado, sendo uma das principais empresas operantes nas ferrovias do Paran\u00e1. J\u00e1 a Rumo, \u00e9 a maior empresa do setor ferrovi\u00e1rio, possuindo a frota de malha ferrovi\u00e1ria mais numerosa do pa\u00eds. Dos pouco mais de 29 mil km de extens\u00e3o de linhas f\u00e9rreas que o Brasil possui, mais de 14 mil km s\u00e3o pertencentes a RUMO, incluindo as ferrovias do Paran\u00e1.&nbsp; No estado, a Rumo opera a Estrada de Ferro Curitiba Paranagu\u00e1 e os trechos que cortam o Paran\u00e1 das linhas da antiga ALL &#8211;&nbsp; Am\u00e9rica Latina Log\u00edstica, atualmente totalmente incorporada pela RUMO.&nbsp; Mercadorias O Paran\u00e1 \u00e9 um estado importante para a economia do pa\u00eds, representando em torno de 6,2 % do Produto Interno Bruto (PIB) nacional. Uma a\u00e7\u00e3o importante que pode acontecer nos pr\u00f3ximos anos, \u00e9 a desestatiza\u00e7\u00e3o da Ferroeste, importante s\u00edmbolo das ferrovias do Paran\u00e1. Essa linha entrou no programa de desestatiza\u00e7\u00e3o, e deve ir a leil\u00e3o em um per\u00edodo pr\u00f3ximo, fazendo com que a iniciativa privada possa investir mais livremente na melhoria dessa malha. Al\u00e9m disso, o governo federal est\u00e1 atento com essas quest\u00f5es. Nesse ano, o governo anunciou que buscaria atrair investimentos da iniciativa privada para melhorar a qualidade&nbsp; das ferrovias brasileiras em mais de R$40 bilh\u00f5es.&nbsp; Outra quest\u00e3o importante, \u00e9 o surgimento de novos trechos ferrovi\u00e1rios, que podem trazer novas solu\u00e7\u00f5es para o escoamento das mercadorias atrav\u00e9s das ferrovias do Paran\u00e1. Log\u00edstica O futuro da produ\u00e7\u00e3o das ind\u00fastrias e agropecu\u00e1ria do Paran\u00e1 depende muito dos novos investimentos nas ferrovias do Paran\u00e1.
