The extracted iron is extremely important for the production of steel in the industries and it is a metal widely used for making various tools that we find in the national market. The extraction of this ore occurs mainly in the deposits located in Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso do Sul and Par\u00e1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The iron mining processes in Brazil become profitable because, in addition to supplying the domestic market, they are extremely used for export, and it is for this reason that the railroads are very important, since they are responsible for connecting the mines to others cities, especially those with ports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Obviously, the railroads that operate to transport this type of cargo have to be built close to the mining companies. The railroad connects the Caraj\u00e1s region, located in Par\u00e1, to the Ponta da Madeira Maritime Terminal, in S\u00e3o Lu\u00eds, Maranh\u00e3o. Well, the answer is in your location. The Caraj\u00e1s region has the largest open pit mines in the world, among them the Caraj\u00e1s Mine and the S11D, explored by Vale. Due to the ease of extraction as they are almost at ground level and also due to the degree of purity of the ore, these mines are of paramount importance for mining in Brazil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The large iron ore mining complex in Brazil, in Caraj\u00e1s, was discovered in 1967, when a geologist and head of the team of geologists from <a href=\"https:\/\/pt.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/United_States_Steel\">United States Steel<\/a>a North American company that was exploring the ore regions in Brazil, arrived at the complex Caraj\u00e1s and found large amounts of iron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From then on, the North American company obtained about 70% of all exploration rights in the region, while Vale obtained the other 30%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of the 1970s, the Brazilian company had created an ambitious exploration project and, for that purpose, bought all exploration rights from United States Steel. After staying with the entire region to explore the site in any way it wanted, Vale launched the Grande Caraj\u00e1s Project, which revolutionized the way of working on iron mining in Brazil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Grande Caraj\u00e1s Project did not only address the exploitation of iron ores, as other ores, such as bauxite and manganese, were also abundant in the region.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the project to be successful, it was necessary to create ways to dispose of the products obtained from iron mining in Brazil, in the Caraj\u00e1s region. That was how Vale invested in the construction of Estrada do Caraj\u00e1s and also in the Port of Ponta da Madeira, located in Maranh\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Estrada do Caraj\u00e1s allowed all iron ore extracted from mines in the region to reach the port of Maranh\u00e3o for export. Created in 2005, the company intends to become one of the biggest investors in the exploration of iron ores here in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2005, some Bahian geologists found a large deposit of iron ores in the city of Caetit\u00e9, in the interior of Bahia, and that was where Bamin appeared, which served to control the actions carried out in the region.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With pioneering, sustainable and consolidated ideas in the market, the company suffers from logistical difficulties imposed by the lack of railroads in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The West-East Integration railroad (FIOL), which would be the ideal partner for the flow of ores obtained by Bamin, had its operations interrupted and is still in a resumption project.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company's route of interest, between Ilh\u00e9us (BA) and Caetit\u00e9 (BA), is over 500 km long, but continues with the works stopped.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bamin, which has stipulated a program called the Pedra de Ferro Project, has already spoken out publicly to say that if necessary it would help in granting the line so that the works could be resumed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the completion of the works, the company says it intends to produce 18 million tons per year, in an investment of US $ 700 million, thus becoming one of the main exporters of iron mining in Brazil.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading translation-block\"><span id=\"Conclusao_sobre_a_mineracao_de_ferro_no_brasil_e_a_ferrovia\"><strong>Conclus\u00e3o<\/strong> sobre a minera\u00e7\u00e3o de ferro no brasil e a ferrovia<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We can conclude that the link between railroad and iron mining in Brazil is essential. Foi assim que a Vale investiu na constru\u00e7\u00e3o da Estrada do Caraj\u00e1s e, tamb\u00e9m, no Porto de Ponta da Madeira, localizado no Maranh\u00e3o. A Estrada do Caraj\u00e1s permitiu que todos os min\u00e9rios de ferro extra\u00eddos das minas da regi\u00e3o chegassem ao porto maranhense para a exporta\u00e7\u00e3o. Atualmente, a estimativa \u00e9 de que 100 milh\u00f5es de toneladas de min\u00e9rio de ferro sejam exportados a partir desse escoamento, principalmente para os pa\u00edses asi\u00e1ticos.
