The use of railroad lines as a means of transporting products and materials obtained in several areas made it possible to advance in several sectors, such as agriculture and mineral exploration. Unfortunately, Brazil has had some problems with the use of railroad lines for a long time, which caused a good part of the railroads to be abandoned, mainly damaging the structures of the trains.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In recent years, the government and several companies have again invested heavily in the construction of railroads in Brazil, the revitalization of lines and the development of rail transport. According to notes, the railroad concessionaires have already invested around 50 billion reais in the last two decades until mid-2015, for the structuring and construction of railroads in Brazil. The prospect of public funds destined for this sector, according to the Ministry of Infrastructure, released at the beginning of the year, is around 30 billion reais for the coming years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The increase in recent investment in railroads is essential for the improvement of this important means of transport that favors both people and goods. But, as time went by, new possibilities emerged that also became attractive, such as the massive use of the road sector. The change from the railroad to the road has led to a fall in new investments made in this sector and, consequently, the abandonment of a large amount of railroad lines. According to data from the National Association of Railroad Transporters (ANTF), currently, only 15% of cargo transports are carried out on the railroads - a percentage that is much lower than the data recorded in other more developed countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to reach levels of development in countries called the \u201cfirst world\u201d, returning to invest in the rail sector has become a necessity, and governments are more aware of this goal. In addition, rail transport vehicles, which are trains, have a number of advantages over other cargo handling vehicles, such as trucks. Discover some of these advantages:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Greater load in a single vehicle;<\/li><li>Faster transportation;<\/li><li>More effective control of activities during the journeys;<\/li><li>Environmental benefits.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The intention to make new investments in the construction of railroads in Brazil aims at the total expansion of the size of the Brazilian railroad line and, consequently, the increase in the percentage of cargo transported by this sector. It is estimated that a portion, around 500 km, will be available for auction later this year 2020.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Ferroeste<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"495\" height=\"387\" src=\"https:\/\/massa.ind.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/pasted-image-0-10.png\" alt=\"Ferroeste\" class=\"wp-image-2446\" srcset=\"https:\/\/massa.ind.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/pasted-image-0-10.png 495w, https:\/\/massa.ind.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/pasted-image-0-10-300x235.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 495px) 100vw, 495px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The new railroad construction project in Brazil aims to create a line that goes from Dourados (MS) to Paranagu\u00e1 in the state of Paran\u00e1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The construction of this new line is of paramount importance for these regions, since the state of Paran\u00e1 is an important agricultural hub for the country. According to data from 2019, from the National Supply Company (CONAB), soybean production in the state of Paran\u00e1 reached the mark of 16.253 million tons, about 14% of all soybeans produced in Brazil. In addition, Paran\u00e1 and Mato Grosso do Sul, states that will be interconnected by the railroad, have significant importance in the livestock sector, since they have extensive sections dedicated to herds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The importance of building a new railroad network in this region is mainly due to the need to modernize the railroad structures and the trains themselves. In Paran\u00e1, currently, the main form of supplying cargo is made by trucks, which represent about 80% of all transport. This railroad is expected to reach around 1600 km, serving mainly for the flow of grain production in the central regions of Brazil, connecting the state of Goi\u00e2nia to Rond\u00f4nia.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main incentive for the construction of railroads like this in Brazil is the possibility of transporting cargo to port users. The construction of Fico aims to take the grains that are produced in the Midwest region to the port of Vilhena (RO).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Ferrogr\u00e3o<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"296\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/massa.ind.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/pasted-image-0-11.png\" alt=\"Ferrogr\u00e3o\" class=\"wp-image-2448\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, we will talk about the Ferrogr\u00e3o railroad planning. The projection addressed for this line is that its extension is about 933 km, connecting the state of Mato Grosso to the port of the city of Miritituba (PA).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This project is the most expensive among those mentioned, and may require an investment of around 12.7 billion reais for the construction to be carried out. Therefore, the concession of the stretches that will be auctioned will be longer, seeking to reach the necessary value for the construction. O aumento do investimento recente nas ferrovias \u00e9 essencial para a melhoria desse importante meio de transporte que favorece tanto pessoas como mercadorias. Al\u00e9m disso, os ve\u00edculos de transportes ferrovi\u00e1rios, que s\u00e3o os trens, apresentam uma s\u00e9rie de vantagens em rela\u00e7\u00e3o aos outros ve\u00edculos de movimenta\u00e7\u00e3o de cargas, como os caminh\u00f5es. Pensando no aumento da produtividade e na transporta\u00e7\u00e3o de maiores quantidades de cargas, existe um planejamento em andamento para a constru\u00e7\u00e3o de uma nova linha f\u00e9rrea na integra\u00e7\u00e3o leste-oeste, indo de um trecho de Tocantins at\u00e9 a Bahia, passando por diversas cidades, e tendo como pontos de destino Figueir\u00f3polis (TO) e Ilh\u00e9us (BA). A extens\u00e3o desse trajeto ser\u00e1 em torno de 1500 km, divididos em partes de quilometragens que ser\u00e3o postas a leil\u00e3o. A estimativa \u00e9 de que uma parte, em torno de 500 km, esteja dispon\u00edvel para ser leiloada ainda neste ano de 2020.&nbsp; Ferroeste O novo projeto em andamento de constru\u00e7\u00e3o de ferrovias no Brasil visa criar uma linha que vai de Dourados (MS) at\u00e9 Paranagu\u00e1 no estado do Paran\u00e1. A import\u00e2ncia da constru\u00e7\u00e3o de uma nova malha ferrovi\u00e1ria nessa regi\u00e3o se d\u00e1, principalmente, pela necessidade de moderniza\u00e7\u00e3o das estruturas ferrovi\u00e1rias e dos trens em si. No Paran\u00e1, atualmente, a principal forma de abastecimento de cargas \u00e9 feita por caminh\u00f5es, que representam cerca de 80% de todo o transporte. Esse dado \u00e9 extremamente problem\u00e1tico, j\u00e1 que esse tipo de ve\u00edculo \u00e9 poluentes e muito menos veloz que os trens, diminuindo a efici\u00eancia do transporte. Fico (Ferrovia de Integra\u00e7\u00e3o Centro-Oeste) A Fico \u00e9 um projeto de cria\u00e7\u00e3o de malha ferrovi\u00e1ria que est\u00e1 em vig\u00eancia e sofre constantes modifica\u00e7\u00f5es nos traslados. Essa ferrovia tem previs\u00e3o de atingir em torno de 1600 km, servindo principalmente para o escoamento da produ\u00e7\u00e3o de gr\u00e3os nas regi\u00f5es centrais do Brasil, ligando o estado de Goi\u00e2nia \u00e0 Rond\u00f4nia.&nbsp; O principal incentivo para a constru\u00e7\u00e3o de ferrovias como essa no Brasil \u00e9 a possibilidade de transporte de cargas para os portu\u00e1rios.
